In this Executive Director role within Chase’s Payments Network Strategy team, you drive the strategic vision and operational excellence for payments initiatives in Consumer & Community Bank. You will shape multi-year plans for payments and card products and manage key partnerships with Visa and MasterCard. You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration, oversee large programs, and deliver executive-ready updates to senior leadership. This role offers meaningful impact by aligning payments strategy with business goals and regulatory considerations, at scale across consumer and small business segments.

Responsibilities
- Develop multi-year strategic plans and key initiatives for payments and card products aligned to business objectives
- Manage issuing priorities with Visa and MasterCard, including product qualifications, interchange qualifications, and risk related to new rules
- Identify, develop, and negotiate strategic partnerships that deliver customer value
- Collaborate with business, legal, compliance, controls, risk, and finance to support strategic initiatives
- Build and lead a high-performing team and drive activity to deliver results
- Provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders ensuring transparency and alignment
- Act as project manager for major deliverables ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes
- Craft and deliver executive communications and presentations for senior leadership
- Provide strategic direction and thought leadership to the Payments & Card team
Key requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in payments/financial services
- Experience with top-tier strategy/management consulting or internal corporate strategy
- Extensive expertise in card payments (credit, debit, prepaid)
- Experience managing large, complex programs and strategic initiatives
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and resolve conflicts
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across multiple levels
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Executive presence with PowerPoint presentation experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
