In this role you drive enterprise-level sales growth by building global account strategies and strategic partnerships. You partner with cross-functional teams to design client-centric solutions and secure high-impact opportunities across the biopharma landscape. You influence procurement, negotiate MSAs, and lead multi-year account plans to advance Syneos Health’s global objectives. This is a high-visibility, client-facing leadership role with substantial cross-functional impact and industry exposure.

Responsibilities
- Lead global business development across high-value accounts to drive strategic growth and revenue expansion
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue enterprise opportunities including preferred provider arrangements and MSAs
- Create multi-year strategic growth plans aligned with commercial objectives for key global clients
- Serve as strategic advisor to client executives, understanding their pipelines and partnership expectations
- Navigate complex procurement to influence decisions and streamline contracting
- Collaborate cross-functionally to co-create client-tailored solutions
- Lead development of high-impact proposals, RFP responses, and executive presentations
- Maintain up-to-date CRM records (e.g., Salesforce) with strategy documentation and communications
- Represent the company at events to enhance brand visibility and generate opportunities
- Monitor market dynamics and refine account strategies based on competitive activity
- Develop and implement annual sales plans with forecasting and quarterly reviews
- Prioritize accounts using data-informed insights on opportunities and market potential
- Create monthly objectives aligned to the sales plan and manage resources to hit targets
- Maintain strategic account plans and proactively address client challenges
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to expand account value
- Lead multi-touchpoint sales strategies based on client needs and market dynamics
- Drive account expansion through renewals and next-phase opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions
- Maintain records of client activity and pipeline in CRM systems
- Act as client advocate to guide proposal development and team alignment
- Educate clients on Syneos Health’s differentiated value proposition and evolving capabilities
- Represent Syneos Health at client meetings and industry events to uncover opportunities
- Monitor industry trends and adapt engagement strategies
- Regularly review territory performance and sales pipeline for planning and forecasting
Key requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a science related field
- Proven experience in strategic sales, global business development, or client relationship management
- Significant experience in the clinical trial industry and deep pharmaceutical landscape knowledge
- Understanding of clinical research service lines and full drug development lifecycle
- Proven success in leading provider pursuits and negotiating MSAs
- Ability to build strategic relations with senior stakeholders in large organizations
- Strong consultative selling skills with capability to co-create tailored solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Collaborative, influential, and able to manage cross-functional sales efforts
- Highly organized with strong prioritization in a dynamic environment
- Strategic thinker with data-driven decision-making ability
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and Salesforce CRM
- Willingness to travel at least 60%
