In this role you lead the Account Services function for automotive clients, driving efficiencies, new business, and staff development. You oversee a team managing day-to-day marketing and advertising initiatives, while hands-on shaping strategies and initiatives. You act as the client leadership driver, aligning long-term objectives with practical tactical plans. You build and nurture client relationships to grow revenue and market impact. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role at the intersection of client success and agency growth.
Responsibilities
- Direct new business efforts, including prospecting, proposals, and contract negotiation for automotive clients
- Develop quarterly and annual strategic marketing/advertising plans to meet business goals
- Lead client strategy initiatives and ensure delivery of objective benchmarks and metrics
- Monitor industry trends and client needs to keep the agency ahead of competitors
- Oversee internal planning with executive leadership; forecast and align goals with market conditions
- Coordinate integrated media efforts, product development, and services to expand client revenue
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and secure ongoing business opportunities
- Guide staff development and performance through coaching and mentoring
- Lead analysis of sales and results data to identify trends and opportunities
- Conduct annual strategic reviews with client management to refine plans and needs
- Integrate long-term strategy with short-term tactics for cohesive execution
- Ensure accurate reporting and communication with executives about market conditions and performance
Key requirements
- 15+ years in Advertising/Marketing industry
- Experience with automotive clients required; Tier 2/Tier 3 automotive experience preferred
- Proven leadership and experience managing client accounts and account teams
- Strong sales/lead generation experience related to advertising, marketing, or media solutions
- Deep understanding of the media environment and related business impacts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across levels of an organization
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and with attention to detail
