In this role you help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming healthcare environment by performing cleaning, floor care, and waste management across assigned areas. You will uphold infection control and safety standards, supporting patients, staff, and visitors. The position focuses on hygiene, attention to detail, and reliable routine tasks that ensure comfort and well‑being. Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize various areas (rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, etc.) following infection control standards
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and equipment using appropriate tools
- Maintain hard and carpeted surfaces (stripping, refinishing, treating floors, upholstery) per procedures
- Wash walls, ceilings, windows, woodwork, and surfaces to maintain hygiene
- Restock supplies and monitor inventory, reporting shortages
- Handle trash and biohazardous materials safely per safety and HIPAA protocols
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, report malfunctions and arrange repairs
- Assist with minor repairs or maintenance and escalate larger facility issues
- Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance
- Comply with all policies and standards
Key requirements
- 1–2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products
- Understanding of infection control and safety standards
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move objects
