Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize various areas (rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, etc.) following infection control standards
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and equipment using appropriate tools
  • Maintain hard and carpeted surfaces (stripping, refinishing, treating floors, upholstery) per procedures
  • Wash walls, ceilings, windows, woodwork, and surfaces to maintain hygiene
  • Restock supplies and monitor inventory, reporting shortages
  • Handle trash and biohazardous materials safely per safety and HIPAA protocols
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, report malfunctions and arrange repairs
  • Assist with minor repairs or maintenance and escalate larger facility issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance
  • Comply with all policies and standards

Key requirements

  • 1–2 years of cleaning or environmental service experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and products
  • Understanding of infection control and safety standards
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move objects
