In this Engineering Manager role within Brigit's Growth team, you will lead a diverse group of engineers to expand access to our financial health products for low-income Americans. You’ll partner with product, design, data, marketing, and operations to shape growth roadmaps and deliver rapid, high-quality iterations. You drive learning, velocity, and ownership while maintaining engineering excellence. Your leadership will cultivate an inclusive environment that enables engineers to do their best work and impact our mission.

Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a high-performing, diverse engineering team
- Mentor engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and coaching
- Collaborate with product, design, data, marketing, and business partners to shape growth roadmaps
- Drive fast, iterative experiments to maximize learning and impact
- Improve team processes to boost execution velocity and manage tradeoffs
- Own sprint planning, capacity allocation, and prioritization for timely delivery
- Be accountable for key product and growth KPIs using data and experiments
- Ensure robust technical architecture, monitoring, testing, and scalability
- Contribute to technical direction and evaluate major engineering initiatives
Key requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software development
- 1+ years of software engineering management experience
- Commitment to building an inclusive, high-performing team
- Experience collaborating with product, design, and marketing
- Experience with growth funnels, instrumentation, experimentation, and metric-driven iteration
- Experience delivering large, complex projects across release cycles
- Proficiency with Java on GCP; React Native experience is a plus
