Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering for enterprise virtualization platforms and data center infrastructure
Provide architectural oversight for Type-1 hypervisor design and efficiency improvements
Coordinate integration across compute, storage, networking, and GPU workloads
Oversee installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of virtualization environments
Lead testing activities including regression testing of hypervisor upgrades
Guide system-wide upgrades, patching, and configuration standardization per change management
Ensure alignment with RMF, STIG, IAVA, and DoD cybersecurity requirements

Key requirements

10+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure or virtualization environments
Experience leading engineering teams or acting as a technical lead
Secret security clearance
Knowledge of DoD IT architecture frameworks and compliance requirements
Experience with high-availability, 24x7 mission-critical systems
Strong technical leadership and communication skills
Ability to analyze complex system architectures and drive engineering solutions
