In this role you will design and integrate shipboard electrical systems within the marine engineering team, contributing to power generation/distribution, control, and navigation electronics. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, compliant designs that meet maritime standards. The position offers hands-on development, modeling, and collaboration across disciplines in a safety-conscious, shipyard environment. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical system diagrams and models for shipboard applications
- Perform system analysis and ensure compliance with maritime standards (ABS, IEEE, IEC)
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver reliable designs
- Provide technical leadership on small projects and mentor junior engineers
- Support implementation of department processes and reference applicable requirements
Key requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, Professional Engineer's License, or equivalent in Engineering or Applied Sciences
- At least four years of practical engineering design experience (operational or shipyard experience contributing)
- Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to team environment
- Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems and regulatory frameworks
