As an Endpoint Engineering Architect, you will lead hands-on design and optimization of end-user compute platforms across Windows, Linux, macOS, and mobile. You’ll drive imaging, provisioning, patching, and compliance, partnering with security to enforce standards. This role blends deep technical leadership with automation-first delivery, including cloud and VDI (AVD) orchestration. You’ll shape modernization initiatives and strive for scalable, secure endpoint experiences enterprise-wide.

Responsibilities

Architect, deploy, and support endpoint solutions across multiple OSs and devices
Design and maintain standardized OS images for various deployment scenarios
Develop automated installation and onboarding workflows (Autopilot, Tanium Provisioning, AVD provisioning, PXE imaging)
Manage patching strategies across platforms ensuring compliance and security
Administer endpoint configurations and compliance baselines with MDM/UEM platforms
Operate Azure Virtual Desktop with focus on performance, security, and UX
Document engineering standards, designs, and change control procedures
Collaborate with security teams to implement device hardening and baseline controls
Provide SME guidance to operations, service desk, and cross-functional teams
Participate in roadmap planning for endpoint modernization and cloud provisioning

Key requirements

Deep expertise in Windows imaging, MDM provisioning, GPO/Intune configuration, patching, and troubleshooting
Strong Linux endpoint management experience (Ubuntu, RHEL)
Hands-on experience with MDM/UEM tools (Workspace ONE/AirWatch, Intune, SOTI)
Proven automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, JSON/REST APIs) and modern deployment tech
Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) engineering and image management
Understanding of endpoint security concepts: baselines, conditional access, certificate-based authentication, vulnerability management
Solid networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Azure AD/Entra ID
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 10+ years IT experience; 5+ years domain/enterprise architecture
SOA design and implementation experience; Software Development Life Cycle and Agile development
Experience with cloud and hybrid AD/Azure AD Join transitions

Analytical thinking Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders Independent work with ability to manage multiple priorities PowerShell Bash JSON/REST APIs
