In this Estimator role, you will prepare detailed estimates in Xactimate following IICRC standards to support restoration projects. You will work closely with Project Managers, crews, and clients to scope losses, document them with photos, and produce accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing. Your work drives project decisions and interactions with insurance carriers, ensuring timely, well-supported estimates. This position offers growth opportunities within a restoration team that handles wind, water, fire, smoke, and related damages. You will be a key contributor to accurate costing, risk assessment, and clear communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Inspect and scope on-site with project team
- Document losses with photos and upload to software
- Write mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating tools
- Communicate job information using required software notes
- Estimate using carrier audit standards and incorporate client feedback
- Coordinate with project manager/lead tech to ensure documentation is complete
- Record drying progress using mobile software
- Determine labor and equipment costs
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing
- Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters via phone and email
- Manage estimate documents and assess project risks
- Review quotes with construction team
- Address estimate exceptions promptly
Key requirements
- Xactimate experience is essential
- Basic construction knowledge (materials, flooring, building components)
- Knowledge of commercial and insurance restoration processes
- Ability to inspect sites and document scope and losses
- Strong communication with project managers, crews, and insurers
- Experience in using estimating software and mobile documentation tools
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
- Willingness to work in varied environments and adhere to timelines
