In this role you will design, implement, test, and document firmware and software for high voltage power supplies, collaborating with a global engineering team. You help evolve embedded systems across multiple markets, from requirements to release, applying DSPs, MCUs, FPGAs, and DSP-accelerated control. You’ll contribute to a high-performance engineering culture while shaping next-generation power electronics solutions. This position offers hands-on impact in a global, industry-leading environment.

  • salary range: $96,000 - $131,000

Responsibilities

  • Support firmware/software development planning for HVPS projects
  • Hands-on firmware/software design for HV power supplies (languages include C, Verilog, VHDL, C#, Java; RTOS-based)
  • Interface with engineering peers to implement features from product requirements
  • Prepare technical documentation (diagrams, test reports, manuals, release notes)
  • Review customer requirements and support release/verification processes
  • Improve firmware/software release processes and revision control (Tortoise SVN)
  • Research latest embedded concepts (DSPs, MCUs, FPGAs, CPLDs, SOM)
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Quality teams as needed
  • Develop Embedded Systems Engineering plans aligned with company objectives
  • Support design reviews, documentation, and software/firmware releases as per processes
  • Foster an engineering culture of high performance and proactive mentoring

Key requirements

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering with minimum 3 years in Embedded Systems
  • Understanding Verilog or VHDL FPGA design
  • Knowledge of digital systems (ADC, DAC, UART, RS-485/RS-232, USB, Ethernet, MCUs, DSPs, RAM/ROM)
  • Experience with emulators, debuggers, JTAG, IDEs; design/verification tools
  • Exposure to Matlab-Simulink, PSIM, and similar tools
  • Experience with design verification testing and customer-facing documentation
  • Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive value
