In this Electro-Mechanical Designer role you will develop cutting-edge equipment for high-tech applications, collaborating with mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, software, and math specialists. You’ll translate specifications into robust electro-mechanical concepts, from concept to production, shaping devices such as lithography machines, electron microscopes, and medical tissue analysis tools. You work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, quality, and feasible integration. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on innovation, reliability, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electromechanical modules for high-tech systems
Collaborate with system architects, mechanical/electrical engineers, project managers and suppliers
Translate specs into conceptual and detailed designs, including budgeting and integration requirements
Conduct design verification, prototypes, testing, and reporting
Support electromechanical competence and knowledge sharing within the organization
Contribute to product development from concept to production and ensure high-quality output

Key requirements

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Electro-mechanics
7+ years of electromechanical design experience
Experience designing mechanical components for electronic devices and PCB assemblies in high-tech environments, preference for high-voltage systems
Proven experience with design verification, prototypes, and mechanical testing
Strong multidisciplinary understanding and ability to integrate mechanical design into complex modules
Proficiency in 3D CAD and creation of complete 2D drawings and documentation
Knowledge in materials, insulation, environmental conditions, design for assembly/manufacturing
Experience with thermal and structural analyses and thermal management for electronics
