In this role you will design and implement electrical concepts for turnkey systems, including on-site commissioning and customer trainings. You will maintain expertise in production and maintenance support of these systems at customer sites or remotely. You join a cross-functional team to develop system topologies, ensure standards, and document technical specifications, contributing to Oerlikon’s engineering leadership and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities
- Independent creation of project studies and concepts for customer orders including cost estimation
- Development and implementation of concept and system topologies for turnkey systems
- Implementation of developed concepts considering applicable standards and regulations
- Developing and creating Hardware Design Specification (HDS) to maintain internal high standards
- Integration and commissioning of thermal spray systems
- Budget responsibility within a project or service intervention
- Support and training of EQ organization in thermal spray systems on the job at customers and within Oerlikon sites
- On-site and remote support of customers (trouble shooting, …)
- Support of Sales, Technical Sales for Sales and After-Sales
- Documentation support: creating technical manuals, parts lists, diagrams, tables and operating/service instructions
- Participation in project studies and development projects
- Outputs: Concepts, System Topologies, HDS, Schematics, technical documents
- System compliance with quality regulations and instructions
- Solving system-specific problems on-site or in-house
- Further development of system components, standards, integration and automation
- Compliance with deadlines and costs
- Coordination with design and software teams
- Communication with external partners and educational institutions
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic)
- 2–3 years of experience as a project/systems engineer (preferred)
- 3 years of experience in industrial machines manufacturing
- Occasional travel up to 10%
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and related docs
- Proficient in electrical CAD systems (EPLAN/COMOS)
- MS Office and related applications
- Good command of English and report writing
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
