In this Electrical Engineer role, you design and coordinate electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and redevelopment projects in NYC. You’ll work with architects and multidisciplinary teams, support site visits and commissioning, and manage multiple deliverables to meet schedules. You’ll mentor junior engineers and ensure NEC/building code compliance while contributing to a diverse project portfolio with direct client exposure. This is a hands-on role that shapes reliable electrical design within a collaborative engineering practice.

Responsibilities
- Design power, lighting, grounding and low-voltage systems
- Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports
- Coordinate with architects, owners and multidisciplinary teams
- Perform site visits, construction administration and commissioning support
- Manage multiple project deliverables and schedules
- Mentor junior engineers and support project teams
- Ensure NEC and local building code compliance
Key requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 4-8 years of electrical design experience within an MEP consulting environment
- Strong knowledge of NEC and building codes
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- FE preferred; PE a plus
