As Division Manager, you will lead field sales to meet company revenue and profit goals, shaping strategies and programs with cross-functional teams. You’ll train and guide sales Managers and Representatives, while executing promotional plans and evaluating performance. You’ll travel to assess market conditions, forecast by region, and steward budgets. This role partners with marketing to drive new product initiatives and optimize customer relationships. Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve division goals
  • Train and develop Managers and Sales Representatives; oversee field sales staff
  • Direct field sales to reach planned quotas and manage territory activities
  • Travel to territories to monitor market conditions and execution
  • Develop annual sales forecasts by product line and region
  • Recommend advertising campaigns and incentive programs
  • Identify product development needs and coordinate with Marketing
  • Develop and administer the sales budget; evaluate performance against plan
  • Maintain customer relationships and negotiate to resolve critical issues
  • Plan and execute sales meetings and programs, including after-hours activities

Key requirements

  • Five+ years of related experience, including five years in sales management within alcoholic beverage wholesale or supplier roles
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; alternative experience considered
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and forecast sales by region/product line
  • Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends
