Responsibilities
- Manage the credit program for the Commercial Line of Business and regional relationships
- Develop and implement consistent credit processes for timely risk assessment and actions
- Lead enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives related to Loan Origination System, Credit Policy, and Business Line Procedures
- Coordinate and deliver credit training to associates to streamline loan applications
- Foster cross-regional communication and collaboration
- Oversee audits and ensure timely action items and compliance
- Collaborate with internal partners and external providers for effective credit decision, documentation, and portfolio management
- Manage associates implementing and monitoring Business Line strategies
- Ensure credit reporting mechanisms meet Business Line needs for oversight
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related fields; Master’s preferred
- 10+ years in senior credit approval/commercial lending and/or underwriting
- 7–10 years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Extensive experience in commercial lending, underwriting, and finance industry
- Advanced knowledge of credit risk factors and ability to rate credits
- Experience with banking regulations and audit processes
- Strong leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to hire, manage, and develop others
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
