In this Director role, you will drive complex financial restructurings for debtors, creditors and other stakeholders within FTI's Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice in Madrid. You will lead engagement structuring, manage cross-functional teams, and communicate progress to clients and sponsors, while shaping strategic recommendations. Responsibilities

Lead engagement structuring, scope, and deliverables
Manage project teams to meet timelines and budgets
Communicate progress and issues to external stakeholders
Coach junior team members and address performance/issues
Develop initial views to discuss with senior leadership
Own deliverables delivered to clients
Lead business development activities and client relationship efforts
Prepare and participate in pitches and thought leadership
Provide on-the-job coaching and training to the team
Build personal networks and participate in training activities

Key requirements

Several years of restructuring/turnaround corporate finance experience
Experience delivering and managing restructuring/advisory work
Experience in team management and report writing for large deliverables
Background in investment banking, private equity, leveraged/structured finance, or financial advisory with debt restructuring focus
Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
Spanish native, fluent in English
Strong communication and relationship management skills
Ability to work in meritocratic, results-driven environment
Experience in business development and revenue generation for director level

Strong written and spoken communication Team leadership and coaching Relationship management and stakeholder influencing Excel proficiency and data manipulation Financial modeling and M&A/debt/equity financing knowledge Report writing and drafting substantial sections of reports
