In this role you will lead regional data center operations for Middle Europe, driving safety, reliability, and efficiency across diverse facilities. You’ll implement scalable operational strategies aligned with AWS standards, manage growth and capacity, and partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and regulators to deliver reliable cloud services. You will shape sustainability and regional compliance programs while steering financial performance and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact leadership role in a complex, mission-critical infrastructure landscape.

Responsibilities

Drive safety culture and security initiatives across regional data center facilities
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with global standards and regional needs
Oversee capacity planning, delivery, and growth to meet customer demand
Direct engineering operations across Colocation, Hybrid, Build-to-Suit infrastructure types
Manage multi-stakeholder coordination with internal teams, vendors, and local authorities
Champion inclusion, diversity, and equity within the regional organization
Implement sustainability programs and ensure environmental compliance across facilities
Oversee regional financial performance, budget planning, and cost optimization
Drive continuous improvement in operational metrics, efficiency, and service delivery

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
5+ years of experience in data center operations, infrastructure management, or related technical field
5+ years of people management experience leading large, diverse teams
Proven track record of managing complex operational environments at scale
Experience with capacity planning and infrastructure growth management
Strong financial acumen with budget responsibility
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic operational plans
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global organization
