As Director of Privileged Access Management, you will lead the governance, implementation, and security of privileged accounts across ADP. You’ll drive operational excellence and risk mitigation through PAM technologies (CyberArk, Delinea, Beyond Trust) and modern access controls. The role involves shaping access policies, coordinating with security and DevSecOps teams, and guiding PAM tool optimization and cloud transformation. You’ll act as an empathetic, results-focused leader who builds an inclusive team and fosters cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day PAM governance and operations for privileged accounts
- Define and enforce least privilege, zero trust, and zero standing access policies
- Manage onboarding, rotation, vaulting, and monitoring of privileged accounts
- Administer PAM tools (CyberArk, Beyond Trust) and oversee credential rotation and discovery
- Implement just-in-time access, break-glass, and privileged escalation controls
- Ensure privileged session recording and centralized logging
- Collaborate with SOC, Cloud Ops, DevSecOps, DBAs, IT Admins, and Application Owners on access controls
- Coordinate with audit/compliance teams for regulatory alignment
- Support PAM tool optimization and assess overlaps/improvement areas
- Define and execute vision and plan for on-prem to cloud PAM migration
- Oversee PAM for on-prem and cloud assets; explore GenAI use in IAM
- Engage with PAM vendors and support teams
- Lead automation initiatives and foster a culture of security-first delivery
- Mentor and develop a high-performing, inclusive team
- Present and defend team approaches to leadership
Key requirements
- 10+ years IT security experience; 3+ years focused on PAM
- 5+ years managing technical teams
- Experience with DevSecOps toolchains and integrating PAM with CI/CD
- Understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, SOX, GDPR
- Hands-on expertise with CyberArk, Delinea, Beyond Trust (across environments)
- Knowledge of privileged account lifecycle, secrets management, session recording, access provisioning
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern access controls
- Excellent communication with cross-functional and senior leadership
- Strong leadership/mentoring experience in technical teams
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master preferred
