In this role you will lead multiple high-impact engineering teams within the Brokerage area, shaping technical strategy and delivering scalable, secure systems. You will partner with product, business and compliance stakeholders to align roadmaps with business goals and ensure on-time execution. You’ll foster cross-functional collaboration, mentor leaders and engineers, and drive disciplined delivery in a fast-paced, regulated fintech environment. This is an opportunity to influence the architecture, governance and operational excellence of a growing digital brokerage product.

Responsibilities

Translate strategy into prioritized requirements and roadmaps with cross-functional partners
Enable alignment across Brokerage teams and other verticals through clear processes and documentation
Oversee architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
Lead compliance and governance across systems, engaging Controls stakeholders from day one
Promote platform thinking, reuse, and best practices while managing technical debt
Manage engineering costs and vendor relationships with ROI and SLAs
Hire, develop and retain engineering talent, with hiring budgets and headcount forecasting
Mentor engineering managers and senior ICs, providing career development
Foster culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Own incident management, on-call strategy, and post-incident reviews

Key requirements

5+ years as a software engineer
10+ years in technical leadership roles
Strong product/business mindset with experience on consumer-facing products
Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences
Full English working proficiency
Strong background in modern architectures (distributed systems, cloud-native, event-driven), SDLC, and DevOps practices
Proven track record in leading and scaling agile teams delivering high-availability systems
Excellent coaching, feedback, and conflict-resolution skills
