In this role you lead the efficient, standardized operation of Monarch’s health care facilities to meet resident services objectives. You will partner with the VP of Operations to shape staffing, budgets, and policy implementation across facilities. You’ll supervise Administrators/Housing Directors, drive quality and compliance, and foster a positive, service‑oriented workplace. Your impact spans operations, finance, and community relations, helping facilities meet governance standards and resident care goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee resident care services and facility operations
  • Review and adjust organizational structure with the VP of Operations
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and cover Administrators/Housing Directors
  • Develop staffing plans and budgets with the VP of Operations
  • Maintain occupancy and budget compliance across facilities
  • Implement and educate on new policies and procedures; ensure policy interpretation
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, standards and ethical codes
  • Lead Continuous Quality Improvement program oversight and facility maintenance evaluation
  • Foster strong relationships with residents, families, staff and the community
  • Meet regularly with VP of Operations to report on facility status and performance
  • Oversee hiring/firing/evaluation of facility department directors and other practitioners
  • Promote a positive workplace culture, staff development, and recognition
  • Manage financial policies and authorize non-routine equipment purchases with VP approval
  • Ensure training and education for supervisory personnel; approve workshops
  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting facilities
  • Represent Monarch professionally in community activities

Key requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college; licensed as a health care administrator in Minnesota
  • Experience in administrative, business and personnel functions in health-related fields
  • Strong leadership, judgment and initiative
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people; effective communication in English
  • Continuing education in health care required
  • Ability to perform essential physical and environmental tasks with/without accommodation
  • Criminal background check clearance per Minnesota DHS guidelines
  • Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, or assisted living preferred
