Responsibilities

Lead warehouse, distribution, and steel processing operations to meet company objectives with safety and profitability
Drive operational excellence via Lean, process standardization, and efficient resource use
Oversee production planning, inventory management, maintenance programs, capital projects, and facilities operations
Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, cost, and service levels
Support growth and optimization of value-added processing capabilities
Foster accountability, teamwork, employee engagement, and continuous improvement culture
Partner with HR for workforce planning, training, and leadership development
Ensure compliance with quality standards, ISO requirements, and customer specifications
Improve processing accuracy, reduce errors and claims, and enhance customer satisfaction
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet customer commitments safely and on time
Lead safety initiatives, audits, training, and continuous improvement to reduce risk
Ensure PPE, Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, and safety regulatory compliance

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership in steel service center, metals distribution, manufacturing, or industrial processing
Experience leading steel plate processing, warehouse, distribution, and production operations
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, CI, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence
Proven track record managing multi-site operations and large teams
Experience managing capital projects, budgets, and process improvement initiatives
Knowledge of steel plate processing equipment (cutting, drilling, machining, milling, handling, finishing)
Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational development abilities
Working knowledge of ISO quality systems and safety management programs
