In this role you lead the Financial Planning team and support the AVP in all aspects of financial planning and analysis for operational planning and new ventures. You will develop enrollment and revenue models, forecast, and report to inform long-term operating plans and the biennial budget process. You oversee appropriation, allotments, reporting, and compliance, and provide analytical support for performance measures and mandated reporting. You also assist with Board of Visitors materials and special analyses, enabling strategic decisions. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape budgeting and financial strategy in a large public university context.

Responsibilities

Lead the Financial Planning team and support the AVP for Budget & Financial Planning
Develop enrollment and revenue models, forecasting, and reporting
Support development of the biennial budget process, including appropriations and allotments, reporting and compliance
Provide analytical and informational support for Institutional Performance Measures and mandated reporting
Assist in coordinating Board of Visitors materials and presentations; contribute to special projects and analyses

Key requirements

Master's degree or bachelor's degree with significant related experience equating to a master's
Comprehensive budget or financial experience in higher education or large agency/business
Strong knowledge of program budget planning, evaluation, and budget execution
Knowledge of public administration and state budget and finance policies; basic state accounting understanding
Advanced expertise in data collection, statistical analysis, financial planning and reporting
Ability to synthesize and present complex data clearly; strong financial forecasting and modeling skills
Proven ability to plan, direct, coordinate, and train others; effective with management and staff; strong oral and written communication
