In this Director-level role, you will lead Delivery Hero's unified ML platform within the Data & Platform tribe, shaping strategy and driving execution to enable AI across the organization. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders and globally distributed teams to elevate innovation velocity, platform reliability, and customer impact. The role offers strategic influence, deep technical leadership, and the opportunity to scale a cutting-edge ML platform in a fast-growing company. You will empower teams to leverage AI effectively and align platform initiatives with business goals.

Responsibilities

Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the unified ML platform, aligning with business and tech goals
Oversee end-to-end MLOps platform development, architecture, and operational model; promote robust MLOps practices
Set and monitor KPIs/SLOs for reliability, performance, cost, and customer satisfaction
Build, mentor, and scale high-performing teams; foster an engineering culture of innovation and continuous learning
Manage global stakeholder relationships, influence cross-functional teams, and drive adoption of platform standards and best practices
Control capital and operating expenditures; manage vendor/partner relationships as needed

Key requirements

10+ years in Data & ML leadership within high-growth tech environments
Hands-on design/operation of MLOps platforms; CI/CD for ML; deployment pipelines; monitoring; feature stores; scalable serving
Proficiency in end-to-end ML lifecycle and common ML techniques; familiarity with major hyperscaler MLOps offerings
Strong DevOps understanding; experience with infrastructure-as-code, Docker, and Kubernetes
5+ years in leadership roles with globally distributed teams; ability to inspire and align stakeholders
Understanding of ML challenges in global organizations; knowledge of AI advances like LLMs and RAG is a plus
