In this role, you define the vision for enterprise data connectivity and lead the delivery of API and EDI capabilities across Sun Life’s value streams. You will partner with business and technology leaders to align strategy with enterprise objectives and drive scalable connectivity solutions. You will influence executive stakeholders and clients, balancing strategic platform thinking with hands-on leadership to enable seamless integration across the ecosystem. Responsibilities

Define and own the API and EDI value delivery vision and long-term direction
Manage OKRs, KPIs, and performance metrics for the connectivity value stream
Identify, mitigate risks and dependencies to ensure reliable delivery and client experience
Develop scalable connectivity models for ecosystem integration
Drive enterprise connectivity strategy across Group Benefits ecosystem
Foster cross-functional collaboration with Lean-Agile leaders and value stream teams
Introduce best practices and lead organizational change for platform-oriented delivery
Oversee resource allocation, leadership, performance management, and budgets

Key requirements

7+ years in a senior management or business strategy role
10+ years in the group insurance business with focus on connectivity, technology, or digital solutions
Proven leadership and change-management capabilities
Bachelor's degree in business management or technical field (or equivalent experience)
Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Experience with agile development practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence
Strong relationship management and analytical skills
Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities
Independent working style with minimal supervision
Demonstrated strategic thinking and execution capabilities
