In this role you will serve as the statutory director for the Dutch entity, owning governance, compliance, contracting and cross-border trade responsibilities. You will influence Sales, Customer Service, Tenders, Procurement, Operations and Finance to move faster while maintaining risk standards. You act as the local authority in the Netherlands for corporate obligations, EU regulations, import/export controls and commercial contracting. This is a hands-on leadership position with broad stakeholder influence in a global manufacturing and components business. You will help scale operations and ensure compliance across the EU distribution footprint, balancing rigor with commercial pragmatism.

Responsibilities

Corporate governance and statutory oversight for the Netherlands
Primary local interface with regulators, banks and external authorities
Regional authority on Dutch/EU commercial and regulatory requirements affecting multiple functions
Review and approve key contracts for the Netherlands and cross-border transactions
Ensure agreements comply with Dutch law, EU regulations and import/export controls; advise on risk and structure
Manage relationships with external legal, tax, audit and corporate service providers
Advise on regulatory feasibility, timing and risk for opportunities and tenders
Maintain alignment with EU and Dutch trade controls and sanctions regimes
Provide executive oversight of statutory accounts, audits and financial statements
Ensure Dutch tax and VAT compliance; act as local signatory within delegated authority
Partner with Global Finance on budgeting, forecasting and governance
Handle day-to-day legal/regulatory matters and escalate to specialists as needed
Identify, manage and escalate legal, regulatory and compliance risks
Oversee the Dutch operating company supporting the EU Distribution Center and enable scalable logistics and operations

Key requirements

Proven experience as Statutory Director / Director / Legal Entity Director (or equivalent) in the Netherlands
Strong knowledge of Dutch corporate and contract law, EU regulatory frameworks and cross-border trade compliance
Experience with import/export controls, licensing, and regulatory documentation for international business
Strong commercial and financial acumen within multinational structures (holding + operating company environments)
Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
Comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor with broad stakeholder influence
