In this role you drive growth with L3Harris by leading cross-functional teams and shaping strategic opportunities. You will develop and execute integrated engagement strategies, manage executive-level interactions, and align Mercury’s products and capabilities with customer needs. You’ll collaborate with internal partners to expand the Mercury-L3Harris pipeline while guiding annual orders plans and gate processes. This position offers broad visibility and impact across the Mercury Growth Team and senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional project teams (Programs Managers, Engineering, Sales, etc.)
- Develop and execute L3Harris engagement and growth strategy
- Drive executive engagements (EXCOMs, trade shows) and industry meetings
- Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to drive customer intimacy
- Influence L3Harris needs with Mercury products and capabilities
- Lead integrated team to manage and deliver annual orders plan for L3Harris
- Meet commitments to grow Mercury pipeline with L3Harris
- Provide quarterly updates to Mercury leadership on progress toward growth plans
- Drive early gate processes for new pursuits with internal/external customers
- Be the Voice of the Customer to Mercury Systems
- Determine budgets and procurements to set Price to Win targets
- Achieve KPIs to expand and convert pipeline in line with priorities
- Travel minimum 50% to L3Harris locations
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience
- 20+ years in aerospace/defense roles spanning BD, engineering, program management, strategy or sales
- Significant knowledge and experience with L3Harris as a supplier, customer, competitor or former employee
- Strong collaboration and ability to lead integrated teams
- Ability to rapidly learn products/technologies and articulate Mercury value propositions
- Proven capture plan development and execution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel 50%+ and obtain/maintain security clearances
- Current Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 9 months
- Knowledge of US export controls (ITAR and EAR) and compliance
- US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required authorizations
- Active DoD Secret or higher clearance (preferred)
