Experteer Overview
As Director of Business Development, you will lead new business pursuits and expansion/renewal efforts, guiding the full sales cycle from lead generation to close with a cross-functional team. You will focus on new contracts, team-based and solution selling, and operate under a sales quota. You’ll shape deal strategy, pricing, and messaging while aligning with Ryder’s logistics solutions. This is a growth-focused, high-impact role that drives strategic partnerships and revenue.

Responsibilities
- Lead deal pursuit and set pricing strategy for opportunities
- Plan and execute proposals, build pipeline by prospecting brands and networks
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and negotiate/close contracts
- Provide ongoing commercial support to closed deals and explore cross-sells with existing clients
- Specialize in a vertical/unit while remaining flexible for other deals at leadership's discretion
- Transition new accounts after 24 months to appropriate teams; plan for long-term account development
- Propose and pursue significant revenue targets (e.g., $120M over 5 years)
- Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- MBA preferred
- Five+ years of sales experience with quota attainment
- Five+ years selling supply chain solutions and achieving quota targets
- Understanding of services, costs, pricing and value
