In this role you will support the development of new engine components and contribute to defining technical requirements. You collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure technology choices meet project needs, coordinate with suppliers, and support FMEA and knowledge capture. You supervise testing activities and define validation plans, keeping DVPnR tasks up to date. You join a dynamic, family-owned business in Bulle, contributing to practical, cost-aware engine development.

Responsibilities

Support development of new engine components across all subsystems
Define technical requirements and operational parameters for components under development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology and specs with project needs (design, engine testing, project management)
Collaborate with suppliers on technology surveys and component development
Support FMEA processes and document failure modes and lessons learned
Supervise testing activities at engine, machine, or supplier sites; assist test bench operators during issues
Define instrumentation plans and test cycles for validation with subsystem owner and testing department
Define, monitor, and update DVPnR tasks and statuses in the validation portal

Key requirements

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
advanced knowledge of combustion engines, DVP&Nr methodology, and troubleshooting/problem-solving
3+ years of experience in engine and hardware development
excellent command of English and French
excellent command of MS Office and CAD Tool
analytical thinker with flexibility and resilience, mindful of cost and resources
