Senior Specialist / Project Manager
Experteer Overview
In this role you contribute to complex design projects within a collaborative design studio, advancing great design through knowledge of codes, documentation, and client presentation. You will coordinate schematic, design development, and construction documents, while exploring material choices and sustainability considerations. You’ll engage in design reviews and client-facing work, supporting team growth and maintaining project schedules and budgets. This position offers a path toward licensing and an Architect III title as you demonstrate leadership and technical mastery.
Responsibilities
- Advise on project design complexity and adhere to goals and design standards
- Develop creative design ideas as an integral design team member
- Coordinate drawings for schematic design, design development, and construction documents
- Analyze product research and material selections
- Prepare client and non-client design presentations and materials
- Deliver tasks within schedule and budget with organized execution
- Review work for accuracy, legibility, and compliance with the Project Delivery Manual
- Support the growth of others and participate in design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups
- Maintain open, proactive communication within the team and with leaders
- Coordinate effectively with partners and consultants
Key requirements
- BIM proficiency and advanced 2D/3D production software
- Building codes knowledge
- Site analysis and preliminary design studies
- Contract documents and construction contract administration
- Field measurements and life safety requirements
- Specifications and environmental considerations
- Excellent visualization and graphic storytelling
- Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite proficiency
- Experience with presentation tools and design software
