As DOI's Chief Compliance Officer and EEO Officer, you will advance risk mitigation, internal controls, and compliance across the agency while promoting an inclusive, harassment-free workplace. You will guide policy development, oversee audits, investigations, and training, and coordinate with legal and operations teams to apply laws and best practices to agency operations. This role combines high-level policy leadership with hands-on investigation and reporting responsibilities. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to shape a compliant, ethical, and diverse DOI. Responsibilities

Develop, review, and implement agency policies to ensure regulatory compliance
Provide guidance on compliance, ethics, internal controls, and risk management
Oversee internal and external audits and related activities
Monitor statutory and regulatory reporting obligations
Conduct internal investigations into misconduct or policy violations
Lead Investigator Training Program and deliver training on policies and ethics
Collaborate with Investigations, Operations, and General Counsel to interpret laws and apply best practices
Promote and enforce EEO policies and investigations as the EEO Officer
Manage confidential records and support background investigations
Prepare and submit EEO plans and coordinate citywide reporting

Key requirements

Juris Doctor degree and active bar membership
Minimum three years of relevant legal experience post-bar
Preferred: ten years in compliance, investigations, law, or related field
Experience with EEO matters and investigations
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with NYC government operations and policies
