Experteer Overview

As a Data Center Technician at AWS, you help maintain the reliability of our global cloud platform by diagnosing and repairing hardware and network issues. You operate within a cross-functional team to keep data centers running 24/7, handling incidents and routine maintenance with a focus on availability and cost efficiency. You will be on-call, collaborate with engineers, vendors, and contractors, and contribute to documentation and process improvements. Responsibilities

Perform server rack installations and hardware repair to maintain service availability
Troubleshoot network issues and respond to operational incidents
Carry out routine network/server hardware and OS repairs
Serve as primary contact for internal and external stakeholders
Participate in on-call duties and change management activities
Contribute to documentation and process improvements
Assist in on-site maintenance and safety/compliance tasks

Key requirements

1+ years of computer networking experience
1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience in computer networking and working with Linux
Able to lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
Willingness to travel between data center locations and work at alternate sites during training or deployment phases
