As Corporate Counsel at Kuehne+Nagel, you will lead US contract review and management for Road Logistics, ensuring compliant, risk-aware negotiations with subcontractors. You’ll coordinate with business units and global leadership to align contracts with policy and governance. You’ll partner with Compliance and insurance providers to address regulatory and risk considerations. This role offers global exposure, cross-functional impact, and the opportunity to shape how a leading logistics group minimizes risk while enabling growth.

Responsibilities

Serve as the central reviewer for Business Unit Logistics contracts in the US
Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors in collaboration with business owners
Coordinate with Global Leadership and other counsels on contract matters and RFPs
Comment on contracts and RFPs, liaising with internal stakeholders and counsels as needed
Ensure adherence to Contract Review Policy of North American General Counsel
Coordinate with Compliance to uphold Code of Conduct and anti-trust/anti-corruption requirements
Consult with insurance brokers (Nacora, Anchor Risk Services) to assess additional insurance needs for the business
Support key global initiatives beyond the US scope

Key requirements

Legally qualified with solid corporate/commercial law experience
Logistics experience, especially Road Logistics, is highly beneficial
Immigration law experience preferred but not required
Results-focused, pragmatic, interculturally sensitive
Persuasive, globally minded and highly collaborative
Strong analytical skills, excellent networking abilities, and issue-spotting for industry-specific risks
Hybrid work arrangement (4 days in-office in Jersey City)
