In this role you will lead CVG’s global accounting function as the principal accounting officer, directing external reporting, SOX compliance, and the consolidated close. You will work closely with the CFO and cross-functional partners to ensure timely, compliant financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions and currencies. The role shapes policy, drives technical accounting positions, and enhances the control environment in a multinational manufacturing setting. You’ll engage with the Audit Committee and external auditors, delivering clear, rigorous accounting conclusions that support strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Own SEC filings preparation, review, and certification support (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related disclosures
Lead technical accounting research on complex transactions (fair value, lease accounting, restructurings, impairments, acquisitions/divestitures)
Direct segment reporting and policy application across global entities
Coordinate with Tax on global income tax provision and cross-border tax obligations
Collaborate with Investor Relations and FP&A on non-GAAP measures
Own design and remediation of ICFR controls and support CEO/CFO certifications
Oversee global close and consolidation, including currency translation, intercompany eliminations, and transfer pricing
Manage accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and reconciliations; drive automation and data integrity
Interface with the external auditors; manage audit scope, timelines, and findings
Lead and develop a global accounting organization across corporate, regional, and site levels
Embed accounting rigor in operational decision-making with plant finance leaders
Set ethical standards and transparency in the finance organization

Key requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; active CPA license
15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience in a U.S. publicly traded company
Experience in corporate controller function or equivalent
Strong U.S. GAAP technical expertise and ability to defend complex positions before auditors and Audit Committee
Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency global consolidation and ERP/consolidation platforms
