In this role, you will steer EU policy communications initiatives to support Amazon’s objectives across Europe from Brussels or other European locations. You will craft and execute broad campaigns, work with cross-functional teams, and serve as the company spokesperson on policy topics. You’ll build and sustain relationships with journalists and policymakers, and translate complex policy issues into clear, impactful messaging. You will evaluate performance, offer data-driven insights, and align communications across regions to protect and enhance Amazon’s reputation. This is a high-impact role for shaping the company’s policy narrative in a dynamic European landscape.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute proactive communications campaigns supporting European policy objectives
Lead program implementation with internal teams across Brussels and European capitals
Develop narratives and speaking points for external communications
Create and manage content/assets, including oversight of agency deliverables
Serve as Amazon spokesperson for policy-related media inquiries
Drive international alignment for consistent policy communications across regions
Manage proactive and reactive communication materials
Build and maintain relationships with policy journalists and media representatives
Assess strategies and provide data-driven recommendations for optimisation

Key requirements

Demonstrated senior-level experience in media relations or journalism
Comprehensive understanding of the EU media and policy landscape
Track record of developing and executing policy communications campaigns
Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
Experience developing strategic communications materials for senior stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
Fluency in English
