In this role you will develop core controls software for gas engine products used to generate electricity and heat. You will specify, implement and test new features while shaping next-gen control systems for efficiency, transient performance, and secure operation, including hydrogen-compatible options. You’ll work on engine-gen-set integrations within complex electric grids, contributing to a global, innovative engineering team. This is a chance to influence cutting-edge controls in a cross-functional setting.

Responsibilities
- Develop core controls software for gas engine products used for electricity and heat
- Specify, implement, and test new software features and control algorithms
- Design next-generation controls to improve efficiency, transient performance, and safety/cyber security
- Create innovative controls solutions for engine-gen-set applications in complex grid topologies
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
- Good programming skills in Matlab and/or other high-level languages
- Knowledge of simulations and Simulink is a plus
- Fundamental knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Solid background in control theory
- Fluent English (written and spoken); experience in generating technical documents
- Travel flexibility 2–3 times per year within Europe and the US
- Valid work permit for Austria (non-EU citizens: include permit)
