In this role you will join Goldman Sachs' Asset & Wealth Management Private Product Control team to support valuation oversight, financial reporting, and control for illiquid private investments. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate valuation, IPV, and regulatory disclosures, while contributing to process improvements and automation. This position sits at the intersection of valuation, reporting, and control within a global, regulated firm. You will help shape transparent, high-integrity financials for private equity and other illiquid strategies. This is an opportunity to impact how private investments are valued and reported across the organization.

Responsibilities

Support day-to-day reporting and month-end/quarter-end closes, maintaining investment books and reconciliations to the general ledger
Produce P&L and balance sheet reporting and analyze key drivers with cross-functional teams
Submit information for external footnote disclosures and regulatory filings for AWM's alternative investments
Respond to ad-hoc requests across divisions
Participate in initiatives to improve processes and automate workflows
Perform illiquid equity valuation reviews across multiple private asset classes
Prepare valuation materials and sensitivity analyses for senior stakeholders
Apply various valuation methodologies (Market, Income, NAV, hybrid) as applicable
Conduct independent price verification and reasonableness assessments of third-party materials
Lead coordination with AWM Finance, Regulatory Policy, Legal, Tax, and other control functions on accounting treatment and disclosure impacts

Key requirements

At least 3 years of relevant work experience
Bachelor in Accounting, Economics or Finance
CPA or CFA preferred, but not required
Strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills
Experience in illiquid valuation analysis preferred
Prior experience with private equity or alternative investments preferred
Public and/or private accounting experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
