Experteer Overview
In this role you will oversee and streamline the company’s financial reporting and accounting processes. You’ll ensure compliant revenue recognition under US GAAP, analyze financial statements, and develop policies that strengthen internal controls. You will lead the finance teams across sites, collaborate with external auditors, and support strategic financial analysis and compliance initiatives. The position offers exposure to manufacturing finance in a recognized aerospace supplier with a strong compliance and growth focus.

Responsibilities
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and provide analysis
- Determine revenue recognition method and timing under US GAAP for contracts
- Prepare whitepapers analyzing accounting standards and disclosure requirements
- Develop, implement, and review accounting policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain consistent internal controls across SBUs
- Collaborate with external auditors and support year-end activities
- Oversee reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Supervise Waukegan and Armstrong Finance teams and manage receivables, payables, and controls
- Support ethical and legal compliance initiatives
- Possibly contribute to special projects and ISO/AS9100/AS13485 processes
Key requirements
- CPA designation
- 3+ years audit experience
- 5+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Budget preparation and analysis skills
- Management experience and ability to train teams
- Critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience with internal controls and compliance processes
