In this Controller role, you own the accounting and finance function for a growing services firm. You will lead monthly and quarterly closes, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and the annual audit, partnering with executives to drive financial discipline. You’ll manage GL, AP, and AR operations, support board-ready reporting, and enhance systems and processes to scale performance. This is a hands-on opportunity at a mission-driven, entrepreneurial company with broad impact across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Accounting function and monthly close operations
- Oversee financial reporting for internal and external audiences
- Manage GL, AP, and AR activities and daily accounting operations
- Prepare financials for board meetings and interact with management teams
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and partners
- Support operational and compliance processes and programs
- Assist with financial audits and year-end filings
- Maintain and enhance accounting systems and reporting processes
- Partner with executive management to drive financial discipline and performance against goals
Key requirements
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- History of building high-performance accounting teams in a fast-paced environment
- Systems implementation and transition experience
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
