In this role you will lead the accounting function for a fast-scaling, tech-forward insurance business, steering GAAP-compliant financial operations during a period of rapid growth and acquisitions. You will own close processes, consolidation across entities, and integrate new agencies while guiding ERP implementation for scalable automation. You’ll work closely with AI and FP&A teams and provide strategic financial insights to the executive team. Responsibilities

Lead the accounting function (GL, AP/AR, payroll) and financial/investor reporting
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Oversee integration of acquired agencies into financial systems
Drive financial consolidation across multiple entities and acquisitions
Lead ERP implementation and optimization initiatives
Collaborate with AI and automation teams to streamline workflows
Partner with FP&A and executive leadership to deliver actionable insights
Ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory requirements
Build and scale internal controls and financial processes

Key requirements

Bachelor in Accounting; CPA required; Big 4/public accounting experience a plus
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in insurance, financial services, or high-growth environments
Proven experience with M&A, financial consolidation, and post-acquisition integration
Hands-on ERP implementation and financial system upgrade experience
Familiarity with AI-driven automation tools and a tech-forward mindset
Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems
