As a Technology Operational Risk Management Director, you help protect JPMorgan Chase by assessing risks in cloud platforms and related technologies. You will support the 2nd line of defense, oversee cloud security and compliance, and work with technology teams to align with policies and risk controls. The role focuses on identifying emerging tech risks, including third-party exposure, and guiding risk mitigations within the CCOR Tech & Cyber framework. You’ll collaborate with cyber and infrastructure partners to shape resilient, compliant cloud solutions and governance.

Responsibilities

Oversight of operational risks in global and regional cloud and cyber security processes and controls
Stay current on technology trends, vulnerabilities, and emerging technologies
Engage with infrastructure teams to understand technology and control environments
Assess third-party risks related to specific technology domains
Identify elevated risk concentrations and assess inherent risks with mitigating controls
Recommend adjustments to meet JPMorgan policy, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Participate in key technology governance forums

Key requirements

Hands-on experience with major public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience designing and managing scalable, secure cloud architectures
Knowledge of microservices, serverless, containers, and event-driven design
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Deployment Manager, Terraform, Ansible)
Understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance frameworks
DevOps practices and CI/CD in cloud environments
Familiarity with cloud monitoring and cost optimization tools
Knowledge of virtual networks, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, and hybrid connectivity
Experience with cloud data services and data migration/modernization
