In this Head of Finance role you provide financial leadership to a growing multi-site leisure business, partnering with operational leads to improve performance visibility and drive commercial decisions. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and reporting while strengthening controls and supporting strategic capex decisions. You’ll work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to translate financial insights into practical actions that boost profitability and sustainability. This is a high-impact role in a purpose-led organisation with CFO exposure and cross-site influence.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Own budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting across multiple sites
Provide commercial insight and actionable recommendations
Partner with General Managers and operational leaders to review performance
Develop KPI reporting, dashboards and performance analysis
Deliver cash flow forecasts, scenario modelling and business cases
Support pricing reviews, investment appraisals and capex decisions
Lead year-end audits and statutory reporting
Strengthen financial controls and improve reporting processes
Coach and develop finance team members
Foster a culture of commercial awareness and continuous improvement

Key requirements

Qualified accountant with strong commercial finance and business partnering experience
Proven ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
Experience in a multi-site environment (leisure, hospitality, retail, etc.)
Strong budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis capability
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to translate financial data into practical actions
Hands-on, growth-oriented attitude
Experience improving processes, reporting and finance systems
