In this role you will lead pediatric clinical operations to deliver high-quality care for infants to adolescents while advancing program development, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with clinical leadership to strengthen access, team-based care, and integrated pediatric services within a mission-driven, underserved community. You will drive strategic initiatives, mentor clinicians, and ensure compliant, efficient operations that support patient outcomes and care coordination.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care to pediatric and adolescent patients
- Develop and maintain pediatric on-call coverage with the Chief Clinical Officer
- Ensure peer review for all pediatric providers (physicians, NPs, PAs)
- Guide integration of pediatric care with family medicine and other departments
- Coordinate referrals to pediatric specialists for timely care
- Lead pediatric quality improvement initiatives with the CMO
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and PCMH integration
- Build partnerships with local schools to improve access and health education
- Support organizational initiatives and provider responsibilities across the Health Center
- Assist in hiring, evaluation, and support of clinical staff
- Support EMR optimization, documentation improvement, and productivity efforts
- Provide clinical leadership coverage in the absence of the CMO
Key requirements
- Unrestricted Massachusetts medical license or ability to obtain prior to start
- MD or DO degree
- Completed accredited pediatric or medicine-pediatrics residency
- Board certification in Pediatrics
- Current DEA and MA Controlled Substances registrations or ability to obtain
- Proven high-quality clinical care in high-volume, multicultural settings
- Eligible for hospital privileges at partner hospitals
- Eligible as in-network provider for major insurers
- Experience serving underserved and culturally diverse populations
- Experience or strong interest in clinical leadership, quality improvement, and team-based primary care
