As Chief Medical Officer, you will lead physician services and medical staff administration across two Holy Cross hospitals, shaping clinical policy and strategic direction. You will collaborate with nursing and executive leaders to improve outcomes, safety, and quality. The role serves as a key community resource and change agent within a large, matrixed health system. You will drive alignment with the system’s mission and demonstrate accountability to patients, staff, and providers. Responsibilities

Provide leadership and strategic direction for physician services and medical staff administration across two hospitals
Establish and implement standards and policies to ensure quality medical care
Partner with Chief Nursing Officers for multidisciplinary approaches to outcomes, quality, and safety
Collaborate with Market Chief Medical Officer and CME to meet regional and system-wide goals
Serve as a primary community resource and advise administrators on medical practice matters
Model and promote mission-driven leadership and a team-first culture
Act as a change agent to drive urgent, strategic initiatives within the health system
Ensure accountability for performance from the organization’s leadership, staff, nurses, and physicians

Key requirements

Five years' experience in delivery of physician services and medical staff administration with progressive healthcare leadership
Knowledge of Joint Commission, managed care, and health policy with proven integration of medical management
Board certified in an approved clinical specialty
MD or DO with current, unrestricted medical license
Physical requirements: medium work
