In this CMIO role, you will guide clinical technology strategy for a $3B healthcare system, aligning IT with high‑quality, equitable patient care. You work closely with C‑suite and operational leaders to advance digital transformation and improve outcomes, safety, and provider experience. You’ll drive AI adoption, ambient documentation, clinical decision support, and interoperability to enable data‑driven care. This is a mission‑driven opportunity to shape technology that directly impacts patient care at scale. You will lead change across multidisciplinary teams and partner with clinicians to deliver meaningful improvements.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for clinical technology initiatives across the health system
Ensure health IT solutions align with goals of high‑quality, efficient, equitable, data‑driven patient care
Champion adoption and optimization of AI, ambient documentation, decision support, analytics, and interoperability
Partner with CIO, CMO, CNO, and operations leaders to accelerate digital transformation and improve outcomes and provider experience

Key requirements

MD or DO from an accredited institution
Board-certified and actively practicing or with recent clinical experience
Active and unrestricted medical license in the state
Epic Physician Builder Certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership in clinical informatics
Experience leading system‑wide EHR adoption (preferably Epic) and digital health solutions
Proven change leadership, AI‑enabled technologies, interoperability frameworks, and data analytics for population health
Strong collaboration across clinical, IT, and operational stakeholders
