As CFO, you will steer the organization’s financial health and operational integrity in the Greater Philadelphia area. You will provide strategic financial leadership to program teams, drive compliant budgeting and grant management, and safeguard resources. Your work supports mission-aligned decision‑making and ensures cash stability through forecasting and robust reporting. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to shape financial strategy in a mission-driven context.
Responsibilities
- Provide financial guidance to program leaders and stakeholders to inform mission-aligned decisions
- Strengthen budgeting by educating managers on financial principles, grant requirements, and budget drivers
- Optimize banking, cash handling, and cash stewardship to protect resources
- Develop a cash-flow forecasting process and reporting system with minimum cash thresholds
- Continuously improve finance department structure, processes, and staffing for efficiency and compliance
- Support professional development and growth of finance team members
- Oversee preparation of financial reports, grant expenditure reports, funder reports, tax filings (e.g., Form 990), and regulatory submissions
Key requirements
- 7+ years progressive financial leadership experience
- Ability to lead and develop finance teams
- Healthcare industry experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Bachelor in unknown field (or equivalent)
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
