In this role you will partner with senior leadership to drive financial strategy and performance for HandyTube, a precision tubing manufacturer. You will lead financial planning, reporting, controls, and M&A activities to support growth and value creation under Steel Partners’ framework. You will build a data-driven finance organization, ensure GAAP/SOX compliance, and shape the acquisition and integration agenda. This is a hands-on, cross-functional leadership role with high visibility and strategic impact.

Responsibilities

Drive a data-driven culture to enable profitable growth and better decision making
Provide timely segment reporting and forecasting to Steel Partners and senior management
Identify profitable opportunities and support expansion and acquisition strategies
Lead pre-acquisition discussions, due diligence, valuation, and post-acquisition integration
Ensure GAAP compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley controls across the OpCo
Maintain robust financial controls and assets management (working capital, fixed assets, capex)
Develop and lead a high-performance, lean finance organization across multiple sites
Partner with sales, operations, and other functions to influence strategic investments and plans
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis to guide management decisions
Support corporate policies and controls while aligning OpCo with Steel Partners governance
Build capability in FP&A, lean accounting, and performance measurement for ongoing improvement

Key requirements

15+ years of Finance/Controller experience
5+ years as finance leader for a stand-alone OpCo or division in a public or private equity environment
Experience with multi-site manufacturing operations (domestic and international)
Strong knowledge of financial planning, accounting, and control processes
Hands-on leadership with ability to work in a fast-paced, direct environment
Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive presence
Experience in M&A, due diligence, and post-merger integration a plus
Bachelor in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred; CPA/CMA a plus
