In this role you will lead Mills-Peninsula Medical Center to deliver high-quality, cost-effective patient care within Sutter Health’s broader strategy. You will align hospital operations with system-wide objectives, foster collaboration among medical staff, nursing, and support teams, and drive performance across clinical and non-clinical departments. You will shape service area growth, develop staff and programs, and uphold fiscal stewardship. Responsibilities

Oversee quality of care and cost-effective services across MPMC departments
Direct and monitor staffing plans, program development, and operational performance
Lead quality improvement, financial management, and strategic planning for the entity
Foster leadership development and interdepartmental collaboration among senior teams
Engage with Foundation, physicians, and community partners; manage board relations and external relations
Possibly direct outpatient/ambulatory operations and service lines
Set tone for a culture of leadership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Serve as operational liaison between medical staff leadership, MPMC Board, and system leadership

Key requirements

Significant healthcare administrative experience at executive/administrator level
Proven competency in financial operations, business planning, and management
Experience in multi-facility or matrix healthcare systems (strongly desired)
Track record in delivering Triple Aim outcomes (access, affordability, quality)
Experience engaging employees, physicians, and community leaders
Philanthropy experience desired
Experience in healthcare business development and service line strategy
Understanding of lean and its application to management and operations
Leadership of operations teams in ambulatory settings
In-depth knowledge of healthcare administration, operations, and compliance
