As CEO, you will lead NGNRI’s mission to accelerate transformative discovery in NF1 and related neurological conditions. You will shape an entrepreneurial research environment while serving as the primary external representative, building strategic partnerships and funding relationships. You will oversee governance, operations, and public engagement, ensuring ethical, high-impact execution across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to guide translational programs and position NGNRI at the forefront of biomedical innovation.

Responsibilities

secure partnerships and alliances to advance NGNRI’s agenda
nurture philanthropic and national funding relationships (e.g., NIH)
build and promote the NGNRI organization
establish governance structures and lead the management team
develop internal and external communication strategies and outreach
cultivate relationships with city/state officials and regional stakeholders
work with the CSO to define NF1-related programs and engagement with the scientific community
collaborate with the COO to oversee administrative operations
ensure compliance with regulations and uphold highest ethical standards

Key requirements

experience leading a biomedical research-driven enterprise (CEO/CSO/MD-level)
builder mindset with proven ability to grow an organization
strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
ability to inspire diverse multicultural teams and advocate for inclusion
ability to recruit talent and drive talent strategy
experience navigating regulatory and compliance landscapes
PhD in biomedicine or MBA (MBA with biomed background preferred)

excellent communicator (written and spoken)visionary and inspirational leadership high integrity and ethical standards drug discovery through preclinical development biomedical product development regulatory and compliance know-how
