In this role, you define and execute the reliability strategy for Nordex's onshore wind turbine fleet. You will guide design-for-reliability across new products and upgrades and act as technical authority for critical turbine components. The role focuses on improving fleet performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness by embedding proven engineering practices and predictive maintenance. You will collaborate with engineering, product development, and field operations to drive meaningful reliability improvements and learnings from offshore wind experience.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute the reliability engineering strategy for the onshore wind turbine fleet
- Establish Design for Reliability (DfR) principles across products, upgrades, and development activities
- Serve as technical authority for drivetrain, blade, and electrical systems
- Promote high-reliability engineering standards where feasible
- Lead design improvements to reduce recurring failures and boost fleet reliability
- Create a structured feedback loop between field operations and engineering for continuous improvement
- Apply offshore reliability learnings, predictive maintenance, and advanced condition monitoring to onshore development
Key requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in offshore wind energy with a focus on reliability-related engineering
- Strong expertise in reliability engineering, structural analysis, and failure reduction
- Proven experience with complex wind turbine systems and critical component reliability
- Knowledge of condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, and performance improvement
- Excellent command of Business English and technical communication
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product development, and operations
