In this role you ensure enterprise-wide regulatory compliance, privacy protection, and ethical conduct across EagleBank. You will lead the compliance program, partner with risk, legal, IT, and audit teams, and oversee regulatory reporting and examinations. You’ll shape policies, monitoring, and risk assessments while aligning with business strategies and community-focused goals. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an enterprise compliance management system to identify, monitor, and mitigate risks
- Establish policies, procedures, and controls aligned with regulations
- Oversee risk assessment processes and mitigation strategies
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on operations
- Act as primary liaison with regulators on compliance matters (excluding BSA/AML)
- Manage regulatory examinations, responses, and remediation
- Oversee regulatory reporting including HMDA and CRA filings
- Ensure compliance with consumer protection laws (UDAAP, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, etc.)
- Design and oversee compliance monitoring and testing programs
- Direct complaint management and investigations
- Lead CRA program and perform governance and performance oversight
- Serve as Privacy Officer for the bank’s privacy program
- Contribute to Ethics Office and promote ethical conduct
- Provide guidance on new products and business initiatives from a compliance perspective
- Embed compliance in strategic planning and operations
- Review marketing materials for regulatory and privacy compliance
- Oversee third-party vendor compliance and privacy risk management
- Monitor CRA and Fair Lending performance and community development activities
- Report to CRO and Board on risks, program effectiveness, and regulatory updates
- Serve as trusted advisor to senior management on compliance matters
- Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior across the organization
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in BA/BS, Business, Finance, Law, or related field
- 15 years of progressive compliance experience in banking or financial services
- 5 years in a senior compliance leadership role
- Expertise in CRA regulations and strategic CRA planning
- Experience managing regulatory examinations and remediation
- Proven track record building and leading banking compliance programs
- Deep knowledge of federal/state consumer protection laws and regulatory expectations
- Strong understanding of privacy regulations (GLBA, CCPA/CPRA) and incident response
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strategic thinking balancing compliance with business objectives
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- High integrity and ethical standards
- Preferences: Advanced degree; CRCM and CCBCO certifications; proficiency with compliance systems and data analytics tools
